A Fashionable Introduction From A London Based Fashion Student
Published: February 3, 2017
As I am writing this post I feel a rush of excitement. Excitement, that in a normally gloomy London, the sun is shining brightly. But also for my future blogging here at StudyAdvantage. However, before I get ahead of myself – time to introduce this fashion student.
My name’s Vetle Egeland and I’m a third and final year Fashion Business student at Istituto Marangoni. It’s an amazing course covering everything from finance, management and marketing, to topics like fashion history and fashion photography. Istituto Marangoni is a university offering a wide range of subjects, all targeted towards fashion or interior. Marangoni has campuses in Milan, Paris, London and Shanghai but are currently expanding into different exciting areas of the world.
Throughout my life I’ve lived in London for a total of 14 years and I’m proud to call it my home. Originally from Stavanger, on the West Coast of Norway, despite this – London feels a lot more like home to me. That may change this summer as I am planning to move to another fashion capital: Milan.
When I’m not in class you’ll either find me in the gym or out eating and drinking my calories back on. Life’s about balance, isn’t it? The social scene in London is pretty incredible so it’s difficult not to get caught up in all it has to offer. I do also love movies and music, with Beyoncé and Rihanna being two of my heroes. I’ve been walking on a cloud since Beyoncé announced her pregnancy (yes I’m one of those die hard fans).
I’m looking forward to posting and sharing my life in this wonderful metropolitan city. As of now though I have to head off to the gym, so that tonight’s sins won’t leave me unable to fit into my wardrobe tomorrow. That’s life as a fashion student for you.
