A week of events at Istituto Marangoni
Published: February 16, 2017
When at university, it is equally important to have a great social scene and talks outside of class, as it is during your school time. Social events is something new management at Istituto Marangoni is working on, as seen by a prosecco event held for the opening of the new cafeteria last Wednesday. Additionally, there were two great guest speakers that came in to give us an insight into the industry. This is a week of events at Istituto Marangoni.
Tuesday 07/02/2017 – Juan Miguel Mora Yanes – Senior Publicist @ Mission Media
Juan is a Istituto Marangoni alumni, having completed his Master Degree at the London campus. It’s always so motivating to attend talks with alumni, as it truly is an inspirational factor for you to keep pushing. He is now working at Mission Media, which is a branding and communications company that deals with accounts like Tiffany’s & Co, Veuve Clicquo, UNICEF and many more. Perks of going to a talk like this? Scored an invite to an exclusive breakfast during LFW.
Wednesday 08/02/2017 – Prosecco reception
Nothing to unveil the new cafeteria, than with a Prosecco reception and tasting of the new cafeteria food? Now I know you may have bad thoughts in regards to cafeteria food, but this food was quite tastefully displayed in bite sizes. We are in fashion after all.
Thursday 09/02/2017 – Paula Barrera Fermin – Marketing Director @ Mario Testino
Paula has an incredible career behind her – but also in front of her. She has already worked at places like IWC Schaffhausen, Georg Jensen and Wieden + Kennedy in Shanghai. Now, she is marketing director at Mario Testino where she handles a wide range of things – including the launch of Mario’s latest website www.miramira.tv. It’s extremely exciting to have people like Paula in to speak to us, who works so closely with one of the biggest legends within fashion photography.
