Professor David Harvey: Anti-Value in Marx
I feel it’s well worth sharing the link of this lecture’s recording. On November 17th, 2016 Professor David Harvey came to SOAS and took part in a public seminar: “Anti-Value in Marx”. The seminar was part of the SOAS Department of Development Studies & the UCL,Bloomsbury and East London Doctoral Training Partnership seminar series for 2015/2016.
I was present at the event and I had honestly had the pleasure to listen to one of the most sophisticated and complete explanation of the global system we live in. Professor Harvey, by drawing on Marx’s Capital and the concept of anti-value, touched upon various matters of the world we live in, from fictionalisation to environmental crisis.
If you have a spare hour, I strongly suggest to watch this recording. It is far beyond illuminating.
