About Brown University

Despite being the seventh oldest higher learning institution in America, Brown University is no stranger to innovation and modernity.  The school is known as the most liberal Ivy League University, and the liberal atmosphere is noticeable both among the profile of the student population and in the very flexible academic curriculum. Often thought of as the ‘quintessential liberal arts education’, Brown’s Open Curriculum requires students to design their own educations (rather than packaging courses into a degree for them). Set in the beautiful Rhode Island city of Providence, Brown’s campus life features both the Greek system (frats & sororities) and about 400 other student clubs to get involved with!
