About University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

Few universities have as much clout in popular culture as UCLA, perhaps not surprising as the large public and highly selective university of course is situated in the Californian powerhub for media and celebrity, Los Angeles. Its metropolitan status means a relatively diverse student body, mixing full time and part time students, undergrads and postgrads, and across wide ranges of programmes. In fact, UCLA offers more than 5,000 courses in 124 undergraduate majors, 98 master’s programs, 109 doctoral and professional programs as well as 91 minors. Unsurprisingly, the university features quite advanced student media, including newspapers, magazines, radio and TV stations. The college football team Bruins is one of the most legendary in the country.
