About Wellesley College

Wellesley is an elite, all-female liberal arts college in Massachusetts. Its reputation is rooted in a long history as a high quality teaching institution across subjects, with particular strength in science (and the campus features the second oldest physics lab in the country). There is a long-established cross-registration programme with MIT, and opportunity to spend a semester at partner universities like Dartmouth and Amherst.

Students live in one of 21 halls of residence, and while sororities don’t exist, similar social clubs or ‘societies’ define a big part of the student life at Wellesley. The college’s robust alumnae base has been widely regarded as the “most powerful women’s network in the world”. Perhaps no surprise given the tight-knit community they build during their years together in the secluded campus near the beautiful town of Wellesley (see images above).
